Anthropic merges Claude Cowork and chat into one unified Claude experience

Anthropic officially announced that Claude Cowork and regular chat are merging into a single unified Claude. You can ask quick questions or hand over entire tasks like reports, and Claude keeps working even after you close your laptop; if anything is unclear, Claude asks, while you keep the final say. The update also adds new slides/docs/design integrations. Rolling out to Pro and Max users over the next few weeks. Product lead Alex Albert said the merged UX feels far better than chat or Cowork did on their own.
