Unconventional AI, a startup rethinking compute for biology-scale efficiency, released Un-0—an image generator powered by simulated coupled oscillators hitting FID 6.74 on ImageNet 64×64—with weights, training, and ablation code fully open. Related work: sparsity cuts 98.4% of oscillator network connections while improving FID by 1.9, plus DS-ISA, the first ISA for dynamical-system hardware, and a $100K university grant program.
