ETH Zürich's robotic hand walks on its own fingers, no wheels or legs needed

ETH Zürich has built a robotic hand that can walk away on its own fingers—likened to the Thing from the Addams Family. No wheels, no bolted-on legs, no separate drive mechanism: the same fingers that grasp objects also carry the hand across surfaces and support its weight, an unusual alternative to symmetric quadruped-style locomotion.
