A Reddit post argues AI already outperforms humans across digital domains but lacks real-world actuators. The author contends mining, chip fabs, robot factories and energy extraction still run through humans — the last domain where we can pull the plug. Until alignment theory matures, AI should not get both strong digital capability and general-purpose robots, or control is lost entirely. The post concedes superintelligence may still fail unpredictably, but the risk window is smaller without physical actuators.
