Diogo Almeida, who co-invented ChatGPT, has come out of two years of stealth to launch Jev, trained with his new method RLCD and positioned as a frontier model optimized for decisions rather than text generation.
Key claims:
- 20–200x faster and 40–400x cheaper than comparable LLMs
- $0.042 per million input tokens, with output tokens free
- The trade-off: it cannot generate text at all
