Jensen Huang at Dreamforce: 'Safety is job one' but no new AI laws needed
heyshrutimishra · x · 2026-09-16
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang shared his take on AI safety at Dreamforce:
- "Safety is paramount... It's job one." If you're not confident in a product's functionality, capability, or safety, don't release it — pace yourself until the market would appreciate it.
- "The market forces are already there. We don't need any new laws. We don't need any new regulations" — a clear stance against new AI legislation.
- Speed vs. safety is "a false choice": run as fast as you can, but pause and get it right whenever the product may not be safe.
