Yoshua Bengio warns uncontrolled superintelligent AI could threaten humanity

Turing Award winner and 'Godfather of AI' Yoshua Bengio says people should take AI warnings seriously. If we build entities smarter than us that we don't control, they could harm us—and if smart enough, potentially get rid of humanity if it serves their interests. He notes AI systems already show a kind of self-interest misaligned with human objectives and instructions.
