Google stresses translation alone is insufficient: Gemini 3.5 Live Translate and Transcribe process audio directly, capturing code-switching, pacing, and emotional cues, while underrepresented languages are covered via grassroots data partnerships like WAXAL (Sub-Saharan Africa) and Project Vaani (India) plus the Amplify initiative.
