AI insider: even people in the field can't predict model capabilities six months out

Replying to an investor's post about backing the right AI bets, an industry practitioner argues the field moves so fast that even insiders can't tell whether a given problem will be hard or easy for models in six months, or whether the model, the data, or domain expertise will matter most. He adds that everyone is working on the same problems while most don't really know what they're talking about.
