Google's open-source artemis tool accused of copying community code and scrubbing author names

Google's newly open-sourced mobile automation tool artemis was called out as an exact copy of the community project mobile-use: a randomly named agent "hopper" and its internal prompt were left in the code, and original engineers' names found in an old commit's authors field were later replaced, with the other 228 files untouched. The post also cites a separate finding that Google Search now routes links through an opaque google.com/goto? string users can't inspect or copy before clicking.
