Community Grok Build hits 130K installs; AFK Pilot drives Grok, Codex, Claude Code from any browser

Developer Pawel Huryn says he bet on Grok before Grok 4.5 and built a community Grok Build extension for VS Code, which together with his desktop app has drawn 130K installs.
His product AFK Pilot hooks Grok, Codex and Claude Code coding agents to a browser so you can chat, review and steer them from any device after a one-time pairing. Two modes:
- Bring your own machine: the original CLIs run locally under one interface, usage counts against your own subscriptions, and messages are relayed in memory without storage;
- Cloud machines: a dedicated Linux VM (8 cores, 8GB RAM, 100GB storage) with all three agents preinstalled, persistent across sessions and sleeping when idle — free in preview, later from $5/mo.
He's waiting for Grok to beat Gemini (Astra) at coding.
