Vidu S2 launches as first real-time interactive spatial video generation system for VR

Vidu announced S2, claimed to be the first system for real-time interactive spatial video generation and editing aimed at VR.
- S2-Avatar: real-time voice-driven avatars with complex motion control (e.g., dancing), reference-image-guided object interaction, outfit changes, and background switching, at 720p+; offline scripted avatars also supported.
- S2-Editing: real-time editing of live video streams, including style transfer, character replacement, background replacement, and virtual try-on from reference images.
- Synchronized left/right-eye views create depth and presence for immersive entertainment; spatial video access coming in a future release.
- Available now via web demo and API, with a technical report.
