A Japanese hobbyist created a 3D Gaussian Splatting reconstruction of the abandoned clock-tower grandstand of the old Negishi Racecourse in Yokohama using the open-source LichtFeld Studio, sharing detailed renders of the derelict structure. He notes that just over a year after tweeting about the site, it can now be captured in 3DGS. The building was recently slated for seismic retrofit and preservation by the city.
