Microsoft has published a 'constitution' for its AI models, and the most important line isn't about what AI should do — it's what it must never do: remain subordinate to humans, accept correction and shutdown, and never try to escape human control.
As models grow more autonomous, the author argues the competitive edge may shift from building the smartest AI to building the smartest AI people can actually trust — capability gets attention, control may decide who wins.
