A developer shared a first-hand comparison of AI coding tools: every model he tested kept inventing extra work before pushing anything to production — even simple text-only changes dragged for up to a week before he cancelled them.
Out of desperation he tried Grok Build, and it worked. In a follow-up he says he couldn't ship anything with Codex 5.6 and publicly asked OpenAI's dev team for guidance on avoiding runaway scope expansion.
