Palo Alto Networks CEO: 'It's over' for analytical SaaS companies as LLMs replace them

On the All-In Podcast, Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora declared: "If you're an analytical SaaS company, it's over."

His argument: analytical SaaS exists to collect and analyze data on a customer's behalf, but users can now run LLMs directly against their own data. Marketplace apps built around platforms like Salesforce — whose pitch is essentially "let us analyze your CRM data" — represent incremental software modules that may no longer need to be sold separately.

The statement targets the core moat of traditional SaaS business models and adds fuel to the ongoing debate over whether LLMs will absorb the analytics layer of the software industry.
