Legora Rebuilds Legal Research with Full Law Ontology and AI-Native Citator

Legal AI company Legora has launched a rebuilt legal research foundation: comprehensive legal data, a full ontology of law, and an AI-native citator, all integrated into its existing platform.
CEO Max Junestrand notes that most legal work starts with "what does the law say, and does it still hold" — exactly where AI has been least trustworthy, and the hardest problem in legal AI. Solving it requires two things: having the law and knowing your way around it.
Data acquisition is a grind that differs per country: Legora partners with publishers where possible and otherwise obtains sources itself — manual requests, physical scanning — working across 100+ countries. The harder half: no agent can reason across hundreds of millions of documents, so something must select sources before reasoning begins, which is what the ontology and citator are built for.
