ChatGPT Personal-to-Business migration permanently locks sites and custom domains, user warns

A Reddit user reports that upgrading from ChatGPT Personal to Business locked their previously published ChatGPT Sites and attached custom domains into an inaccessible workspace — the sites stay live but can't be managed or deleted, and the domains can't be reused in the new workspace. After 10 days and multiple tickets, OpenAI support said they lack the internal documentation to fix it, with no resolution path available. The author's PSA: disconnect custom domains and unpublish sites before migrating, or risk orphaned sites and unreclaimable domains.
