- Xi'an-based Blue Worm Robotics has turned its humanoid robot into a modular platform, MANTIS STANDARD, priced from RMB 9,800 (under $1,500).
- Configurations: full-body wheeled humanoid for general tasks; base plus arms becomes a delivery robot; desktop humanoid as assistant/teaching robot; wheeled base plus torso for inspection — one robot brain controlling different configurations.
- A quoted post shows MANTIS deployed in a real hotel demo: a single humanoid worker greeting guests, checking them in, guiding, cleaning rooms, and delivering items, in a hybrid AI + teleoperation mode — more flexible than China's typical single-task hotel robots. Modular purchase could make deployments cheaper and faster.
