Indie dev launches Glimpse iOS app for previewing Markdown and HTML files on iPhone

Developer @op7418 has launched Glimpse, an iOS app now free for a limited time in the China App Store, targeting a real pain point: Markdown and local HTML files are hard to preview on phones, especially files shared from AI tools via WeChat.
Key features:
- Previews HTML, Markdown, TXT, and ZIP archives with embedded images
- Import via WeChat, Files app, or the system share sheet, with local history and favorites
- Markdown rendering tuned for long-form reading, including code blocks, tables, and common Obsidian syntax
- HTML viewing with zoom, orientation, desktop mode, and a script toggle for web-based slides
- Local-first: no accounts, no backend, nothing uploaded
The author notes App Store review took 11 days. Beyond the product itself, it's a useful case study for indie developers: pick a friction point created by AI workflows (AI-generated reports and slide pages nobody can open on mobile) and ship a small, focused tool.
