Tencent releases EVIE visual document retrieval models as Apache 2.0 preview

Tencent's EVIE family is likewise fully Apache 2.0 licensed. Taking EVIE-Preview-4.5B as an example: fine-tuned from Qwen3.5-4B, it targets visual document retrieval, supporting multi-vector late-interaction (colpali/colbert style) and dense retrieval, compatible with colpali-engine and sentence-transformers ecosystems, multilingual (English, Chinese, Japanese, etc.), trained and evaluated on the ViDoRE benchmark.
