Grok Bot adds local egress routing so cloud agent tasks can use your own IP
xiaohu · x · 2026-09-14
Grok Bot has added a "local egress routing" feature. Its tasks normally run in a cloud VM, so outbound requests come from datacenter IPs — which get blocked by sites that ban cloud IP ranges, and fail on services requiring your personal IP (internal systems, banks, region-locked services).
With the feature enabled, the VM's traffic is routed through your local machine before leaving, so target sites see your home/office IP instead of a datacenter one.
To enable: Settings > Computer > Route egress. The Grok Bot "computer" component must first be updated to the latest version.
