Nautilus turns one prompt into plug-and-play robot learning workflows, as researchers question the GPT-6 hype

Nautilus (arXiv 2605.11665) is an open-source harness that turns a single user prompt — e.g. "Evaluate policy A with benchmark B" — into ready-to-use reproduction, evaluation, fine-tuning and deployment workflows. It ships plug-and-play agent skill sets distilled from robotics research priors, typed contracts between policies, simulators/benchmarks and real robots, unified interfaces, and an agentic coding workflow with automated validation at each milestone, auto-generating adapters and containers without hand-written glue code.

Sharing the paper, roboticist Georgia Chalvatzaki urges caution about calling such demos a robotics breakthrough: harnesses encode human knowledge and structure, so the field needs to disentangle what comes from the model vs. tools and system design — asking how far existing models would get with the same harness.
