Why ordinary people shrug at personal AI agents — you're asking the wrong question

manosaie echoes nikillinit's list of why people find personal AI assistants useless: lack of imagination, offloaded coordination, or identity tied to admin work. He adds that people narrowly ask "what tasks can I automate?" instead of "what do I do on a computer that I'd happily give up?" — the latter unlocks far more use cases and even novel agent tasks. "Our machines are thinking and acting on our behalf. We forget how crazy this is."
