Free 62-page guide automates your Obsidian vault all the way to AI agents

Developer Sébastien Dubois released a free 62-page PDF guide, "Automate Your Obsidian Vault," covering three stacked layers of automation built on one idea — your notes are plain files:
- Mental model: the vault as a knowledge operating system, four stages of automation, and the biggest mistake (automating too early)
- Layer 1 (inside Obsidian): seven jobs plugins should do — notes born correct, capture under three seconds, automatic filing, formatting, queryable notes, frontmatter state machines, buttons and commands
- Layer 2 (around the vault): Git, command line, REST and MCP, backups, scheduled jobs, publishing pipelines
- Layer 3 (AI agents): instruction files, skills, hooks, multi-agent workflows, scheduled agents, self-running vault maintenance
Includes his own setup on a 20,000+ note vault and a recommended adoption order.
