New agent skill turns drone footage into a stunningly accurate 3D model of your house
doodlestein · x · 2026-09-13
@doodlestein released an agent skill that reconstructs a house's exterior in 3D in Blender from multiple drone videos, with results he says are too accurate to share publicly.
- Runs via the Codex app (medium effort or higher recommended); more passes yield better results — the author ran 40 passes refining shrubs
- The skill auto-installs Blender and the Blender MCP
- A companion skill is in the works: stitching interior reconstructions to the exterior for a seamless digital twin. Indoor drone flight is risky and unnecessary, since doors and windows in the exterior model anchor the interior geometry
