Anthropic model trainer Jacob Coxon quits, calling AI an uncontrollable super weapon
victor_explore · x · 2026-09-13
Jacob Coxon, who trained AI models at Anthropic, has resigned, saying AI may be the most dangerous technology humanity ever created — a super weapon we cannot control the way we control nuclear weapons, and a race into extinction.
Commentators note that quitting after training these models costs a person far more than publishing a safety paper, so labs should expect future resignations to be quieter.
