Hugging Bay: unofficial index of ~149k open AI models, weights, datasets and tools
johnseach · x · 2026-09-13
Hugging Bay, an unofficial catalog of open-source AI artifacts, is live with 149k public records — LLMs, embeddings, vision, audio, agents, datasets and tools, 90% imported from Hugging Face. Each entry includes license, provenance and SHA-256 hashes, with hosted files plus P2P/magnet mirrors for large open weights and agent-friendly APIs (MCP, OpenAPI, llms.txt). The author stresses it's not an official HF product, not a gated-model bypass, and not a leak dump — the Pirate Bay branding is pure marketing, indexing only already-public open artifacts.
