New work from @eterecursion and @DavidDAfrica identifies 5 personality structures in model weight space — Warmth, Competence, Timidity, Arousal, and Imagination — loosely matching the Big Five human traits.
Each dimension is a spectrum: on a conflict-of-plans prompt, the warm pole seeks a solution for everyone while the cold pole cancels without excuses; on Imagination, one end answers literally while the other weighs promises against human tensions. The authors say these axes can forecast how training data shapes model personas, offering a new interpretability lens.
