Hugging Bay, an unofficial open-source AI catalog, launched indexing 149k public AI artifacts — LLMs, embeddings, vision, audio, agents, datasets and tools — with 90% imported from Hugging Face. Each entry lists license, provenance and SHA-256 hashes; it offers P2P/magnet mirrors for large open weights plus agent-friendly APIs (MCP, OpenAPI, llms.txt). The author stresses it's not official, not a gated-model bypass, and acknowledges legal gray areas around torrent redistribution.
