Would LITE accepting MRVL's merger offer prove its moat was overstated?

HyperTechInvest argues that if Lumentum ($LITE) truly accepts Marvell's ($MRVL) merger offer, it would prove its moat was vastly overstated by analysts — a dominant player wouldn't agree to such a deal.
Ben Bajarin adds that the moat was really a supply constraint, networking will inevitably move toward more vertical integration, and the few players already vertically integrated are better positioned. The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in AI networking silicon supply chains.
