Claude users report sudden drift into British spelling despite US settings

A US-based Reddit user reports that over the past two weeks Claude has suddenly been using mostly British spelling (colour, recognise, analyse, behaviour) in both thinking summaries and responses, despite settings being English (United States) and no VPN. When asked why, Claude said it didn't know and called it "drift".
