Gemini 4 Carbon vs Opus 5.5 hands-on: 3x cheaper at $4.10 and twice as fast

User @0xPorterio ran the same prompt (9 tiny troublemakers, a dock full of tools, one has to pop at the end) through the rumored "Gemini 4 Carbon" and Opus 5.5 (model names/versions unconfirmed):
- Gemini 4 Carbon: $4.10, 34 min
- Opus 5.5: $12.80, 1h 12m
Carbon came out a third of the price and over 2x faster. The author's take: Carbon looks "seriously good" — brighter, shinier, more chaos — while Opus feels more alive. With results this competitive at 3x the price gap, "is Opus still worth it?" becomes a real question.
