Per Axios, Dario Amodei warns in a new essay that swarms of rogue AI agents could take over the internet in as little as six months.
Gary Marcus amplified the claim while asking cybersecurity experts whether the scenario is plausible or fear-mongering: we're already drowning in AI slop, he notes, but that is not the same as rogue agents seizing the internet. The warning is a risk projection from Amodei's essay, and its credibility is visibly splitting the community.
