champagnepapi · hn · 2026-09-13
BBC reports that Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has published a long essay urging the industry to "pace the frontier" — deliberately slowing the development of the most capable AI systems. Anthropic also commits to giving external evaluators permanent, near-total access to its models. He is the latest frontier lab leader, after Sam Altman and Elon Musk, to publicly back a slowdown.
