Eight years of logging electronic parts in .txt files now feeds AI project context

A maker shares a parts-management habit: since 2017 they've logged every electronic component and tool in .txt files (bin number, part numbers, category files for transistors, diodes, resistors, MCUs, ICs), plus PDF copies of every datasheet. Now that AI has access to these files, when discussing a project it knows what's on hand and what needs ordering, and can read the datasheets. @debreuil calls it an amazing setup.
