Jeff Dean's Discovery Loop Reportedly Seeking $50B Valuation, Up From $10B

Discovery Loop, the AI startup founded by Jeff Dean and other ex-Google leaders, is reportedly seeking a $50 billion valuation — up from a $10 billion target about a month ago.
Per Reuters citing Business Insider, the company last month discussed raising $1 billion at roughly a $10 billion valuation. Terms could change and a deal at $50 billion is far from guaranteed. The company targets breakthroughs in machine learning, science and engineering.
Take: the pedigree deserves attention, but a fivefold jump in the asking price dramatically raises the bar for what it must eventually deliver.
