Stanford Launches CS329Z 'Engineering AI Agents,' a Full Course on Building Agentic Systems
stanfordnlp · x · 2026-10-31
Stanford's new fall course CS329Z (taught by Diyi Yang et al.) treats agent development as a formal engineering discipline. Students build RAG, tool use, and agent loops from scratch, then learn how frameworks like DSPy abstract them, covering problem decomposition, component selection, data curation, evaluations, and design tradeoffs—capped by two applied assignments and a quarter-long project. Materials are public.
