Dev builds game world you can reshape by voice in real time using OpenAI's new GPT-Live-1 API
TheMoonMidas · x · 2026-09-12
Developer timourxyz demoed a playtest built on OpenAI's newly released GPT-Live-1 API: you talk to the game and it regenerates the environment live — spawning new items, weapons, and settings on the fly with no pre-authored content.
The demo quotes OpenAI's official announcement that GPT-Live-1 is now available in the API, bringing ChatGPT-style natural back-and-forth voice to apps with agents that listen while they speak and work with the model harness of your choice. The author argues this opens up entirely new forms of media.
