NVIDIA's Zurich lab announced microSLAM, described as the best non-hardware-bound SLAM to its knowledge, a breakthrough toward large-scale mobile manipulation deployments. Commenters note monocular RGB pose estimation is notoriously hard to get the last 10% right, and look forward to the Physical AI data effort tackling the next problem.
