LiteReality-Agent turns real-world scans into simulation-ready MuJoCo environments

A team has released a new version of LiteReality-Agent that converts real-world scans into simulation-ready environments, with an API platform coming soon and pilots with robotics and spatial computing teams.
Key upgrades over the original system:
- Layout Agent: automatically converts noisy layouts into clean, physically valid, simulation-ready layouts
- Simulation-ready objects: improved articulated object reconstruction with comprehensive physical properties
- MuJoCo integration: reconstructed rooms can go straight into physics simulation
- Small object recovery: powered by Astra and LLMs, the agent recovers and adds many small objects
The authors note that image-to-3D tools like Astra still produce scenes that aren't simulation-ready — this system fills that gap for robot training.
