An OpenAI engineer predicts robotics will see its own 3D-printing craze: people buying cheap open-source robot arms and plugging them into agents. He gave an agent an open-source Hugging Face SO-100 arm ($200, fully 3D printable), a paintbrush and a camera, and it learned to control the arm and paint the Golden Gate Bridge in real life, improving over attempts.
