DigitalOcean Launches M.A.R.S. Managed Agent Runtime With First-Party OpenAI Agents API Support
OpenAIDevs · x · 2026-09-12
DigitalOcean announced a first-party integration for OpenAI's Agents API and launched Managed Agents Runtime Services (M.A.R.S.) in Private Preview.
M.A.R.S. bundles two components: Harness Runtime, a managed execution environment where agents persist, run, and scale; and Action Gateway, which gives agents governed access to tools, APIs, and SaaS systems. Developers can package their preferred harness, dependencies, and config into environment templates — compatible with Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, and agents built with LangGraph or CrewAI — without managing the underlying infrastructure for long-running, multi-tool agentic workflows.
