OpenAI ships GPT-Live prompting guide: copying your old prompts won't hit SOTA
craigsdennis · x · 2026-09-11
OpenAI published an official prompting guide for GPT-Live in its developer docs. Developer daidaijiayu, who rewrote much of the model's prompting guide, urges anyone building with gpt-live-1 to read it or point their agent at it — the key point being that simply copying your existing prompts won't get SOTA performance. Docs pages are available in Markdown by appending .md to the URL, making them easy to feed to agents.
