Warp's six non-engineering teams all run on Linear and Claude Code

A Warp executive shares how she runs six teams—marketing, benefits, people, talent, partnerships, ops—none of them engineering, yet all operating like engineering teams: every task tracked in Linear, every workflow driven by Claude Code.

Drawing on her stints as a mechanical engineer at Apple, software engineer at Facebook, and PM at Google, she says the single most transferable lesson is that everything is written down: each task has an owner and a state, visible to anyone. That visibility is what lets ten people work in parallel without a human middle layer chasing updates.

The thread struck a chord: at the most product-forward companies, the whole organization is starting to work like an engineering team—work is visible, owned, and increasingly done with agents.
