Gemini Canvas Turns Any Google Sheet Into an App, Sparking Startup-Killing Concerns
VishnuNath · x · 2026-09-11
@itsPaulAi highlights a new Google Sheets capability: Gemini can turn any spreadsheet into a working app where the sheet itself acts as the database — supporting not just data visualization but also inputting new records. He argues this could wipe out hundreds of lightweight app startups.
How to use it:
- Click the Gemini icon in the top right
- In settings, hit "Create canvas"
- Describe the app you want
