OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar said on the Consello YouTube channel that compute the company purchased a year ago could be sold today for 3 to 5x its price — "if nothing else, a great investment." The bad news, she added, is that OpenAI is still short on compute, underscoring both the scarcity and rapid appreciation of AI compute assets.
