Sentry Founder: MCP Won Because Agents Can Just 'Fix This URL', Not Call CLIs

Sentry founder David Cramer (zeeg) defends the value of Sentry's MCP server against skepticism, explaining why it saved him far more time than it cost to build:
- Organic UX is the point: rather than telling an agent to "use the Sentry CLI and call xyz," he can simply say "yo help me fix [url]" — MCP lets him steer agents naturally.
- Native harness integration matters: integrations that agent harnesses are aware of "just worked extremely well."
- Low lift: the SDKs and Cloudflare provided so much out of the box that building it was cheap.
- He says the hours saved already justify the investment "even if I was the only user," while arguing the model could be simpler with less state — and criticizing that auth implementation is still poor.
