Dev explains why MCP won him over: organic UX beats telling agents to run CLI commands
zeeg · x · 2026-09-11
Developer zeeg shares his core reason for adopting MCP: it integrates with agent harnesses extremely well, making the UX organic. Instead of saying "go use the Sentry CLI and call xyz," he can simply say "yo help me fix [url]" — MCP lets him steer agents conversationally.
He notes setup was a relatively low lift thanks to SDKs and Cloudflare, though he still thinks MCP could be a simpler model. He approximates MCP to tool APIs, arguing the rest of the complexity was "a waste of calories."
