Anthropic alignment researcher Jan Leike says now is the time to build institutional mechanisms to pace frontier AI development, arguing the industry is locked into an all-out scaling race toward superintelligence and may need more time for safety and alignment mitigations. Former OpenAI superalignment member Blanche Minerva shared the post and pressed for details on what mechanisms Anthropic will actually put in place.
